Our 5-step solution

Our Mould, Damp & Air Quality Division has many years’ experience in specialist solutions to persistent damp problems impacting building infrastructure and contents. Over the years we have developed a number of successful solutions that are tailored to specific root causes of dampness, mould and poor air quality.

1-Inspection & Site Report

We begin with an experienced professional conducting a thorough site

inspection.

This may entail indoor and outdoor environmental monitoring, recording

humidity, temperature and various air quality parameters.

Each location and building is unique and the experience of the inspector

determines the recommendations in the site report.

The root causes to the problem are key to the solution and must be thoroughly

investigated before a solution can be found.

2-Specialist Sanitation

Before a permanent solution can be applied, it is essential that a full thorough

and professional clean is applied to all affected areas with the appropriate

chemicals and procedures. Mould particularly has to be removed and surfaces

treated or symptoms may return.

We use only the highest quality of tested chemicals and application methods in

our sanitation procedures.

Our operatives are fully trained and experienced with the latest technologies,

plant and machinery

3-Removal of humidity

Mould and dampness does not occur in arid environments, more often than not

moisture in the air is responsible and methods must be employed to remove the

water in the environment. Dehumidifiers are an obvious choice but installing the

correct specification requires experienced consideration.

There are 2 main types of units with 3 specific approaches to dehumidification-
3.1 Seasonal Hire- Quite often dehumidification is only needed in the winter months.

We offer a service where we install, monitor and decommission mobile units ready

for the summer season when dehumidification is not necessary.

3.2 Seasonal Asset- In some cases clients want to own their own units, in order to

use elsewhere or save on rental prices. We are happy to cooperate with this model

where appropriate units are specified.

3.3 Permanent Wall Mounted- Where clients specify a permanent solution we use

wall mounted units of various designs that fit into the property aesthetics.

4-Circulation of clean, dry air

Perhaps more important than humidity, air flow must be

optimized in order to provide a long-lasting solution. Our

experience leads us to use Positive Ventilation systems (PIV)

to address airflow. With the addition of a filtration system and

optional heating elements PIV units are often an essential tool

in eliminating mould and dampness. With the use of ducting

and expert placement effective use of PIV systems coupled

with optimum environmental settings are a must in the

solution mix.

5-Monitoring & Servicing

Regular monitoring, whether remote or on-site is essential to the overall

success of the underlying problem.

Quite often the system may need to be adjusted to take into account local

factors, climate and usage. A number of variable parameters can effect the

overall performance of the solution. This is where our experience and

knowledge pays off.
